Jellyfish
Enticing.
Your beauty as it flows in the water
Each movement precise
Each appendage moving in sync
Captured.
As I carelessly am wedged in a web
A web of translucent bars and lattice work
Forbidding me to swim free
Paralyzed.
Your network of wires are electrocuting
How am I to escape my fate,
Of being trapped in your cage?
Pulsating.
Your venom tears away at my flesh
Scale by scale, bone by bone
I’m just another meal to you
Carcass.
I didn't even stand a chance, did I?
You evil little jellyfish monster
Spitting my remnants out heartlessly
Drifting.
My bones fall away to the ocean floor
I already miss the day when I swam freely
Without a care in the world
