I would like to consider you to be my first.
It sucks because I know you weren't.
You were the first though to give me:
Butterflies,
Light-headedness when you were around,
My first kiss,
My first relationship where it felt like we could beat anything.
We lives on cloud 9, nothing could bring us down.
Writing this down the memories come flooding back:
Cutting class to hang out at the park, holding hands,
Getting drinks, talking for hours on end.
Those 16 months were the best thing to ever happen to me.
The love that was once shiny and brand spankin new.
The rush it gave me, those feeling i felt when i was with you.
Is now a thing called rusted love.
A memory I once wanted to forget but can't.
For good or bad I don't know.

I just wish you hadn't let me go.
