Growing Up
Life is always easier you're young
When we lived carefree and you thought everything was YOURS
back when heartbreaks didn't exist && Girls and Boys had "cooties"
when we would sneak Downstairs on Dec, 24th
just to take peek at whats under the Christmas Tree
But now we have to grow up, as a child we had no worries
Now as teens we have lots, We try to contemplate the meaning of love
Along the way we discover the meaning of broken hearts
and how hearing "Can we just be friends" can tear your world apart .
Aside from Love , Heartbreaks and Heartaches
Parents want us to start taking responsibility for our actions
Straight A's are expected and we say Bye-Bye to nap time
Its time to GROW UP they say, && we still wanna have fun
Giving into peer pressure , making the decisions we know were wrong
But going along with it cause we want to see the outcome
Parents lecture && scold us && as we get older we start learning from our mistakes
But without the mistakes what would we have to reflect on?
We crave to be independent and wanna do things alone
But sometimes you miss living at home, and think of going back
We have already stepped out into the Real world, so don't turn back
Cause its time to GROW UP...
