I can run faster than the speed of light
You should see me running so, but as for now I'm running slow
I'm bound to the wall and the ground by family and friends
They try to decide my beginning and end
Sitting in a dark room I just stare
For I know I'm the one who put myself there
Exploring my mind I search for peace
I know in my mind I will find the key
It will release me from my shackles and I shall be free
Thats the time you should see me
For I will be running both day and night
I will be running to my first time to my last sight
I will be running faster than the speed of light

hmm. Not really sure what to make of this one. Interesting but confusing. I would keep the lines short and the form more basic. It helps the reader to more clearly understand the underlying message. But you have the right ideas. Don't let me stop you from writing, I am no expert, especially in the area of poetry.
