"Reality continues to ruin my life."

Some days, I’m like a pomegranate, bright red, angry.
Pomegranates hold iridescent pearls like secrets.
So do I.

Other days, I’m star coral, orange.
I’m annoyed when I’m this color.
Don’t push me. I’ll explode.

Sometimes I’m sundrenched yellow, relaxed like a cat in the sun.
Serenity has captured me now.
Nothing can get me out of it’s Titanium cage.

I’m like a summer garden, green with envy.
Everybody has what I don’t have.
Why can’t I be like everyone else?

On Mondays, I’m iceberg blue.
My feet feel like lead on Mondays.
It’s like waking a bear from hibernation.

Occasionally, I’m adelaide purple.
Love is in the air when I’m this color.
I feel woozy and starry-eyed.

Rarely am I feeling black like India ink.
This is when I’m filled with abhorrence and loathing.
NO ONE stands in my way.

I can also be white mosaic
I feel nothing.
I’m like a robot with no charge.
Spiraling into endless nothingness.

Aww thanks! I'm not as sweet as you may think but I just had to let you know that poetry, no matter who writes it and its over all quality, is always a beautiful language few people understand :)

This is a very very nice poem. :). My favorite lines (that I will remember for a long time) are "...Pomegranates hold iridescent pearls like secrets..." . The alliteration in this line is playful, mysterious and uplifting. "I'm a summer garden, green with envy.". I had to think this line through when I read it, gardens didn't seem envious, but then I realized I can't even picture a summer garden. This led me to also realize when a garden is portrayed in most anything it is either the flourishing spring garden or it's the waning garden in the fall. Summer is so overlooked. I don't think this line has been given enough credit by readers. It's so subtle you can skim right over it, like a garden in the summer. But if you look closer, dig a little deeper, you find a life you never knew was there. Alrighty, I ramble and apologize but this poem was marvelous and I had to prove to you that your poetry talent is blooming brilliantly and you just have to learn to love it yourself before you let other people's opinions in the way. I feel priviliged to have read this and encourage further :) <3. I once again apologize for my rambling :P.
