The Oncoming Storm
  Calm before the storm
  Wind rolls slowly, lazily
  Waves lap the sandy beaches
  It’s peaceful
There are no cares in the world
  No birds sing
  Nobody notices the slight oddity
  The animals act strangely
  Hiding almost expecting something
  Ominous
  Then
  Wind howls
  Waves crash
  There is no peace
  Screaming, howling
  Can’t tell the difference anymore
  Waters rise
  Darkness takes over the land
  Hiding, praying in basements
People desperately wish for the storm to pass
  Sleepless nights
  Continuous destruction
  Then
  Calm
  Waves settle
  Winds slow
They tire out and continue in their lazy demeanor
  The storm has passed
  Once again
