Steady
against the waves, treading for my life. Wishing. Hoping.
Dreaming only takes you so far until the illusion in your head
isn’t
what you wished for. Echoes of your past seem to haunt the
back of your mind, scratching at your skull,
always
a reminder of the dark past that could so easily pull you back
into the daunting memories of when you once thought you
were
stable.
