“It is true that those we meet can change us, sometimes so profoundly that we are not the same afterwards, even unto our names.” - The Life of Pi

i can’t stand you and your fluid words-
your happiness in thoughts of demise
a torrent river in which you’re content.
to be dead
to be a corpse in the ground- decayed from the inside out.
rotting flesh that doesn’t show the organs that have stopped working right
to be frozen as the icebox that you envision your body entombed in
  grim. gruesome. grisly.
stop the stupidity- the thoughtlessness
your death is as welcome as he,
a forebearer of the chilling metal scythe
that will cut
your
  life threads
decapitated-
but fate is in store for you,
a gift that you are unaware has been presented
     Life.
Not enough, the words howl through you
the muses sing and you are here, not departed
not the ghost of the man you have become, the shadow of your former vibrancy.

No longer the mute you’ve willingly disabled inside
though the stitches have been ripped wide open-
a gaping abyss of confusion, insecurity.

the tsunami that relentlessly washes upon your shores
drowning out your words

i am here, to wreak havoc upon your despair
you don’t get a choice
you will live, you will breathe.

It’s not enough to hope. But you will.

i can’t stand your fluid words, your bleakness in the light
that will drown out the sorrow

until there is no more left

because you are alone
  dead
   or alive?
most definitely, alive.

You may think you are alone, through the confusion and hopelessness of this calamity we call teenage life. It is hard, it is loving, it is passionate. We fight everyday, just as much as we cry and for that we should know that there are people we love and they just don't realize it.
