Forever

I could spend forever talking to you,
and sometimes I do.
Whoever decided that forever lasted
has obviously never met you.
There are promises you're never meant to make,
promises of time are too easy to break.
So don't tell me in days or months or years,
I don't want to know how long you will be here.
Make me promises of forever,
ask me when to break them
so I can answer "Never."
