Who is She?
She begins with joviality,
Harmless and sweet,
Unnoticeably clever
In the way she leads.
She surprises with difficulties,
Adolescent, not juvenile,
But it prepares you
For hardships later on.
Then she brings fun,
Unexpected laughter and excitement,
Until you need to decide
The path she will guide you.
She starts to wither you,
Petal by petal,
Takes away your loves,
And your dreams too.
She ends you in a surprise,
Too quick for judgment
And you realize that she
Decides it all for you.

This poem is supposed to make the reader really think, who does have the most control over you in life? Is it yourself, or is it mother nature? Is fate predestined, or can you change it?
