The Bird's Song
Fall
The color slowly starts to fade,
crunching under feet.
Soon the trees are uncovered and
there's nothing left for them to wear.
Naked branches dance in the wind.
The bird's songs slowly sweep away.
Winter
Diamond white flakes approach.
With Dasher and Dancer and Donner and Blitzen,
kids wait to run and play.
Frosty the Snowman comes tonight.
Trees cover in frosting snow, and melt away
with no birds to sing their song.
Spring
The call of the morning chirps return
as birds migrate from the south.
Bees buzz
as plants bloom.
Trees turn green again, as squirrels run up them
and birds sing on the end of branches.
Summer
A sizzling hot day scorches sweaty skin in
burn marks.
Kids laugh with happiness.
A cool breeze whispers,
hearing nothing but trees singing.
The birds once again sing with joy.
