The Guy Named Shai
Once there was a guy named Shai.
He truly never spoketh a lie.
 The truth may have bent
But he meant what he said
Even if it was with a sigh.

 He often tended to cry,
For what, I cannot say why.
 Tears just came spilling out
 Sometimes without a drought,
But he still kept his head up high.

When he was given a black eye
By some big bully of a guy,
 So far away he ran
 That his girlfriend Joanne
Thought he disappeared into the sky.

 His birthday was in July,
Which was when he said goodbye
 For that’s when he left
 And left me bereft
Of any friends on which I could rely.
