Middle of Autumn
The middle of Autumn arrived, the winds were high and thrived. The rays could not be seen, they were behind the shadows above, a distant call was heard approaching my window.
A loud knock thundered, the spirit of Autumn was calling to me "let me in to see thee." The windows were shut and he could not be seen; yet, he still pounded on my window and he was very keen.
The wind was blowing east, and the rays were seen again; a bright blue sky with white clouds appeared and the wind came back again!
The cold breeze of Autumn filled me with delight; the yellow trees and golden saltwater were decorated with much heavenly light.

I wrote this poem on a windy day when I heard the wind pounding on my window, as if the spirit of Autumn was calling me.
