“Sisters”

Family is one of the greatest things
So many people come and go, yet
They are all amazing human beings.
I am so lucky that I always get
To spend time with the ones that I love dear,
Whether it’s at shows or at middle school,
They are always here to give me good cheer.
My favorite “sister” goes by Jewels,
She’s the one that hears all of my mistakes.
Then there’s Ady and Braylee for the laughs.
They’ve all caused me a ton of bad heartbreaks,
But we’re the closest when showing our calves.
Time’s gone by, and we may not have all stayed,
But the memories made shall never fade

In the last couple of years, I’ve realized that your family doesn’t have to be the people that are related to you by blood. It’s the people that that you love dear, and the people that you can’t live without. That’s what this poem about.
