The sport is a way to express my true self

The sport is a way to show teamwork and dedication

The excitement it brings overwhelms my body

My heart beats with enthusiasm as I get in position

The sound of the whistle overloads my body with adrenaline

I dash across the field with lighting speed

I chase after the ball as if I were an animal chasing its prey

I dribble down the field looking left and right to make the pass

I strike the ball through my opponents to my teammate

With a quick strike the ball is put through the net of the goal

Joy shines upon my face when we finish with a victory

Generations from the Lopez family have enjoyed the sport just like I do

I guess it’s in our genes
