Bid Me to Ease

Dip, swing, dip. My paddle cuts water blued.

The hot sun tans the brown, burnt, freckled bark.

Shrieks of my laughter echo through our park,

I breathe in warm air, breathe out gratitude.

My heart has been cleansed by the mother,

Her arms of shelter and tolerance wrap our park

And bids ease to those who find the waymark

Lended peace at last, I am made another.

The gloom overcomes the grounds as we land

And whilst collecting wood, the woods hath darken

Fresh dinner on. Seeing eye, willing hand.

Bear hang. Hang the bear. Eyes and ears sharpen.

Well hello trippers, safe in the lowland

And nigh the fire; lessons we harken.
