The one I dream of every night
The one, on waking, I do miss
The one who brings me such delight
The one who brights my day with
bliss.
The one to drink hot cocoa with
The one I miss in winter-time
The one to share gelato with
The one I kiss in summer-time
The one who knew me as a child
The one who speaks meaningful words
The one who looked my way and smiled
Who makes the music sing like birds.
I look no further than this one
The one who joys my life like sun.
