Living for Tomorrow
Pretend there’s no tomorrow for a while.
There is no time for worry or regret.
Your only job is to have fun and smile,
There are no expectations to be met.
What would you do with nothing up ahead?
Would it be something crazy, wild, and weird?
Would you not bother getting out of bed?
Or do something that you have always feared?
Why is the future programmed in our brains?
Why does it dictate everything we do?
We plan, but looking back all that remains
Is empty time. We cry because we knew
That this would happen. For it is our way.
We’re living for tomorrow, not today.
