I thought you'd always be here,
but you let me down.
All I remember is a tear,
and a glimpse of a frown.
The way you made me feel,
like I was almost pretty.
These scars will never heal,
all I'll know is pity.
Why, I'll never understand,
the reason you betrayed me.
We walked hand-in-hand,
and now only a memory.
