Young Love
Here we are as we meet again.
Bound in a world of our own creation,
Without much thought or contemplation.
I take my step as you follow suit,
And the angels look down to cheer and root
The bond we share has come so far,
And has held us together like a clingy tar.
I walk to you and you to me,
As my heart pounds out its melody.
We embrace there in the wood of our dreams,
And in my arms? A beautiful queen.
The wind picks up and the leaves doth fall
And it’s as if my heart has hit a wall.
I look in your pearls where beauty lies,
And I’m taken aback by the way you cry.
The tears they fall to the grassy floor,
And I hold you close till you hurt no more.
That foolish cruel fiend, he has no clue,
Of the hurt and pain he’s given you.
What he lost this horrid day,
This girl who unwittingly stole my heart away.
I clear your face of the liquid ache.
Oh how I’d do whatever it takes
To see you smile instead of frown.
And the leaves of gold and orange and brown
Falling around us forever more,
As time keeps watch to guard the door.
You came to me with a broken heart
And as always I’ve been there to play my part.
I knew the time could not be worse
But still I confessed this terrible curse.
How close we came and unworthy am I,
fate should have deemed I not catch your eye.
But you smiled and giggled and looked at me,
Saying in my arms is where you’d be.
A period of calm we shared together,
Knowing we’d be together forever.
Even the angels grew jealous of our great love,
Truly a blessing sent from above.
But fates cruel wiles deemed a tragic part,
One that slew me with my broken heart.
My Juliet gone, why did she go?
The answer, 1 man, my deceitful foe.
resentful that fiend grew after that day,
scheming as to how he could make me pay.
The final duel, no gentleman’s game.
His physical being experienced my pain.
But the wound was deep,
And it only grew bigger
I went to her grave,
Where she’d forever sleep.
I pulled the trigger,
And Discover your company, which I crave.
