Prejudice
The winds blew through the fields with a cold whirl,
The grass swept back and forth in the wind.
Underneath a tree sat a little girl,
She looked depressed, perhaps she had sinned.
I approached her and questioned quietly,
With a whisper in her voice she replied,
Who are you? Where are you? I can not see.
And with embarrassment I almost died.
That day I realized, life is not what we think.
People may appear normal, but aren’t.
Do not judge a book by the cover, just blink
To awaken oneself from prejudice.
Live life to the full, don’t regret a thing.
And let your heart with all its might, sing!
