ponder I the sight the sky has begun
its beauty lies in shadow of the rest
it is none compare to that of the sun
pray not who wakes in east and sets in west
but is the grace my desire is weeping
that whose kindness has saved me from myself
no more want of cupid's arrows seeping
yet it seems in love I've acquired wealth
such sweet words her lips do vastly befall
singing lovely to my longing full ears
as upon their entrance I catch them all
love's bliss they taste as Aphrodite's tears
for hardly could i try to strive to live
without their great pleasure they freely give
