Has To Be Dark
I wonder how the world would feel
If there were no black and grey
The sky was blue and white
Every single day
We feel no tears
Or pain or grief
We’d never have fear
But then we would never dream
We would never hope
For there would only be sun beams
Let me ask a question
Can you find happy ever after
If you don’t want the story to end
You don’t want to hear the laughter
Because it means the end of a story
But to know the whole story: you have to find the end
The end might leave you weeping
But would you give up
Instead of keeping
If there was no sorrow
We would know no joy
And there would be no happier tomorrow
Because we are looking for more
