Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows - Part 2
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows - Part 2 is the final installment in the Harry Potter franchise and finally gives fans the highly anticipated final showdown. Harry, Hermione, and Ron continue their epic clash against evil, as they go on the difficult quest to find the last of the Horcruxes and rid the world of them. A final battle between Lord Voldemort and the Death Eaters is inevitable, and carrying out the plan to stop the dark lord is an absolute necessity. Meanwhile, the hidden secrets about the mysterious Deathly Hollows slowly unravel and become all the more important in the superb showdown between Harry Potter, his friends, and all of his supporters versus Lord Voldemort and his impressive army that takes place at Hogwarts.
This is it. This movie is just breathtaking. The brilliant beginning starts things off with a combination of excitement, sadness, and grit that eventually sets the tone for the rest of the film. The mind-blowing middle doesn't feel over-stuffed or too complicated at any point and manages to keep the audiences on the edges of their seats, instead of slowly losing their attentions. The exhilarating ending is just Earth-shattering and cannot be described highly enough. It is simply just everything that fans could hope for and then some.
The vividly outstanding visual effects are just spectacular and capture the magic-esque, as well as the intensity and suspense that the movie creates all too well. There are thrilling twists and shocking turns at seemingly every corner that are both heartwarming, heart-breaking, and more than enough cause for viewers to be both emotionally devastated and smiling with joy. Character development is taken to the next level in this movie, and certain characters are shaped in new, imaginative ways that completely change people's perspectives on them.
Lord Voldemort's role in the movie is exceptional, and he gifts fans with some truly fantastic one-liners, such as, "The boy who lived, come to die." And come to die, indeed. Harry Potter faces his most difficult challenge yet in the powerful wizard that gave him his famous scar. So much of young Harry's life has been affected by Lord Voldemort, and finishing him off for good is a noble but nearly impossible feat. It will take everyone who has helped him up to this point and all of the knowledge he has acquired to defeat the murderer. Everything Harry Potter has ever done has been living up to the very moment of clashing off with Lord Voldemort one on one, and this creates an unfathomable level of intensity.
Not only does Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows - Part 2 sit well with avid fans and bring out the inner wizard in just about everyone, but it was also viewed as amazing by critics. Rotten Tomatoes gave the movie an incredibly impressive 96%, which happens to be the highest mark of any of the movies in the franchise. A whopping 97% of Google users liked the movie, which is also the highest percentage out of all of the Harry Potter movies.
This movie had a difficult task in living up to expectations, and it's safe to say that the movie shattered any and all previous presumptions about the movie. The movie does the books justice, as well as satisfy even the most critical of dedicated fans. Tears at the end of the movie are expected, and the way the movie ends causes essentially anyone and everyone to start to get at least a little emotional. The farewell to the iconic hero is done in a manner that is beautiful and awesome, in the truest sense of the words. Without a doubt, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows - Part 2 lives up to and rises above its lofty expectations. Mischief managed, indeed.
