taekwondo class
I was six years old and the single biggest thing on my mind was how I could impress my friends. Before class started, we usually would goof off with each other. I was eager to show off, so I attempted something I’d never done before. I took a deep breath, put my hands on the ground, and kicked my feet up. For a moment, I was flying, but came after the immediate pain in my wrist. I toppled over and burst into tears. I could hear blurred commotion around me, realizing my shoulder going numb from the pain.
