What is the Color Blue?
Have you ever looked at a color and thought, “that color is so ____.” Many people learn to associate colors with emotions, especially their favorite colors. For me, my favorite color is blue. I’ve never associated blue with any negative emotions, which is why it is so comforting to me. I never feel a certain way when I come into contact with something blue. To me, the color blue is a blank canvas. I can interpret it however I want. When I am happy, blue can be happy, when I am angry, blue can be angry. As a child I never wanted all of my things to be blue, which is something common within most children and their favorite colors. This kept my love for the color fresh. As I have grown, I have become aware of other colors and how they make me feel. For me and most people, red is angry, green is gross, and yellow is happy. But blue is a different kind of love, like a warm hug, a simple and refreshing feeling that can help me take a step back when the world is too much.
