Part of The Team
At 9 years old my parents signed me up for a soccer team at the park.
Only a few kids lived around me and so I lacked any friends.
I am not part of the team.
During a break in practice the other kids group themselves with their friends but I'm left alone.
I am not part of the team.
Day after day, I continue going to practice.
At practice we do group activities and I socialize with everyone else. We have many things in common. I’m invited to their group.
Suddenly and without warning, I'm part of the team.
