"Love me for my ugly, for my pretty is deceitful"

It's quiet in my room. I'm just there, sitting. Maybe I'm laying down. Staring. I'm not even thinking. And then I open my mouth. Words come out, even though no one is around to hear. And the words that come out are truths. Truths I don't even know about until I start talking. Everything I feel, deep down, without realizing it, everything that happened to me that I didn't think I remembered... It all comes out. Alone there, in my bedroom. I finish saying everything, and then I write it down. All of it. Sometimes when I'm writing, even more truth comes out.
Sometimes, it's not the truth. Sometimes I just become someone else with an entirely different truth. Someone who has a story to tell. I've never heard the story before that moment. And I don't know what's going to happen before it leaves my mouth. It's just... out of the air for me.

Writing is a way for me to know I'm there.
