Ode to the harbor
The soft hint of salt lingers in the air
While the sound of waves pounding against the rocks
Greets my ears like a long lost friend
Looking over the harbor fills my heart with joy
This place is so familiar, so special
Cool, salty winds kiss my face
Welcoming me back to the place I love
 Boats bob by the docks,
 Up and down
 The movement is enchanting
Content just to sit and enjoy feeling inside of me
Little birds chirp at the passing visitors, greedy for food
 It is peaceful
It is the place I love
