Running around till we got nothing
But our feet flying
And our soul searching
For nothing but the night
The stars and the bright
Headlights
Shinning on the
Street sign
Leaning on the
Wrong time
Watching as the tide
Rolls in
And it circles us in

Running around till we got nothing
Leave it all behind.
But you

No,
You just keep running
Pacing yourself for nothing
Soon I'll be gone
We'll have no where to run
No one to turn to
But I will carry on with you

I moved from Ny to NC a while ago. This poem is about spending summers with my best friend in Ny and then having to leave.
