Nothing
You say you love me.
But do you really?
Or will you just leave me like the others.
Who threw me away once they got what they wanted.
Until they got bored, and came back for more.
But how am I supposed to give you what you want if I have nothing to give?
I am worth nothing.
But how does one become something?
This is the question we all spend our lives trying to answer.
The question that tears at my lifeless soul, in its attempt to answer itself.
And without realizing it, we too tear at each other.
We try searching for the answer in other people.
We rip each other to pieces, and watch as we try to put ourselves back together again.
And once we realize that the answer is not within ourselves, we run.
We run and run until our hearts give out.
But even then we keep going and going.
Some don’t make it.
Some give up.
We soon realize that this intangible reality we so desperately want to reach, is out of grasp.
We stop running.
We stop trying to pick ourselves back up.
But some keep running.
They continue to search.
And the fact that they try to ignore reality, the more it kills them inside.
Ironic isn’t it.
How the answer lies right in front of us.
We.
Are.
Nothing.
