I jumped at the chance

Hoping I could lead the way

But the way

Slipped away from the day

 

Now I'm in the dark

Trying to lead the way

But I got lost 

So you had nothing to say

 

Midnight approaches

I'm alone in the clatter of rain

Although it might not seem obvious

But no one can feel my pain
