Secret Keeper
Waiting so long for someone to come,
Save me from my suffering darkness.
Laying cold in my tomb ‘till my still heart grows numb,
And my soul becomes weak with this starkness.
About to give in, surrender the fight,
When with eyes like the sun and smile like a song,
Finally he comes as if out of the night,
Vanquishing the darkness that ruled for so long.
Wanting to hold him, safe in my arms,
Shielded from the plague that once tortured my heart,
Keep him so close, away from all harm,
Stay here forever and never to part.
This secret I cherish I can never tell.
I must carry my silence to heaven or hell.
