Sun shining throughout the entire day
No more rainy days, wind, clouds snow or cold.
Happily throwing all your cares away
In with the new and out with the old.
In bathing suits swimming down at the lake
Crystal clear beautiful warm crisp water.
Getting to choose the time I wake
With this sleep I become a great daughter
Eating all the wonderful summer food
Like popsicles and watermelon too
It keeps me in a very joyful mood
Up all night watching the sky turn to blue
These are the reasons that summer is great
Towards the end of winter I just can't wait
